The Story

In 1989, Jean-Luc Thunevin and Murielle Andraud became the proud owners of a small plot of land of 0,6 ha, in the valley of Saint Emilion, between Pavie Macquin and La Clotte. Written Notes

Ruby, fresh, plums, blackberries, even if on the ripe side, vanilla, fresh acidity, ripe tannins, elegant with answer in hand. 91-92

  • 92p

Tasted twice - last time in August 2019. Consistent notes. Very aromatic on the nose and palate, sweet fruit, elegant and well-balanced. Seductive wine with silky fruit and tannin, velvety texture. At its apogeum and delightful to drink now. This was in September 2015. Tasted even better in August 2019. Great winemaking skills from Thunevins in this vintage!

  • 95p

Intense colour, slightly garnet red hue. Very rich nose with expressive character, ripe plums, dark berries, dark chocolate and hints of cold smoke in the background. On the palate well structured with fine acidity, balanced tannins, multi-layered fruit and elegant spiciness. A wine with concentration and length which has preserved some fruit and elegant oak spices.
