A superb example of the greatest Champagne vintage ever. One could argue that it was solely the wonderful vintage that made this wine - it could be since Perrier-Jouët suffered a long recess period after the First World War and the death of the head of the house Henri Gallice. Anyway, this wine has wonderful appeal to it.
Bright golden colour with hardly any bubbles left. The nose is still intense with flowers, dried fruits and complex yeasty aromas. The lean, moderately light-bodied taste has sharp lemony acidity. The mousse is already weak. However, the lovely intense and long mineral aftertaste manages to convince us of the quality of Perrier-Jouët in this great vintage.
