Written Notes

Tasted in March 2014. Bad weather condition in this vintage didn't allow winemakers in Bordeaux to make something spectacular. However, it was a quite pretty wine, not overloaded by new oak, intense and concentrated, ripe black berries, strong structure, fine complexity and length.

Only 9000 bottles made. Ruby. Red berries, vanilla, scented, elegant nose, some darker notes. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, Burgundian texture, on the leaner side, long, charming and red fruity. 90-92

Château Ausone 2013 /Dark purple red with violet hue and almost black centre. Well structured nose with vibrant fruit, blackcurrants and mulberries, hints of mild spices, vanilla and gingerbread, toasted flavours reminiscent of dark chocolate. On the palate well structured with medium weight and persistant length. Fine fruit in the finish, elegant tannins. 92 points
