The Story

Blend: Nebbiolo, Barbera and Merlot. Mainly Pajorè in Treiso and in Serralunga.

Exposure: eastern and western exposure.

Soil: predominantly limestone.

Vinification: Fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks and oak casks.

Written Notes

Bright ruby. Cherries, anise, liquorice, spices, roses nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, cherries, nuanced, elegant, quite bright, long finish if narrower. 90

  • 90p

Moderately light cherry red colour. Lovely perfumey nose with violets, cherries and cranberries, hints of smokiness and some cacao. Medium-bodied, round and smooth mid palate with lingering candied red fruit flavours and refined firm mineral finish. Lovely to drink now, but will evolve for 3-5 years. Decant for 1.5 hours and serve at 17-18°C with rabbit ragu and pasta. JL 90p (Nov 202)
