A difficult start to the year led to early budbreak. There were some damaging hailstorms in early May, but the frost ultimately stayed away. Lagring på sin jästfällning: ~9 år före dégorgering.
Dosage: 0-4g/l.
Degorgerad i februari 2009.

Tastinnote; Detta är en helt otrolig champagne! Redan då nästippen analkades glaset sköljdes jag över av en våg av munterhet. Detta är för bra för att vara sant… Detta är förmodligen en av de största nylanserade champagner jag någonsin smakat, men ändå balanserad och frisk tack vare en kraftfull mineralitet. Detta vin börjar redan visa tryffel och svamptoner tillsammans med sharonfrukt och grapefrukt. 99:an är mångfacetterad med många lager den går igenom en skön rund fas i munnen, med rostat bröd och hasselnötstoner och när du tror att den klingar av och är borta. Då, ungefär en fjärdedel av en sekund senare, träffas paletten av apelsinzest plötsligt din gom, och sedan kommer avslutningen svepande in, och varar för evigt. Detta fick mig faktiskt att brista ut i skratt. Till Anselmes grymtande uppskattning.
