A welcome relief after some difficult years in the region. Quantity-wise, it was the seventh high-cropping year in a row. But, in 1995, the quality also excelled, and particularly so for Chardonnay. The nose is invitingly sweet and toasty with aromas of ripe fruits. The aroma structure of the taste is rounded off by the long lingering after-taste of dried fruit. A perfect acid structure and a soft mousse - a very pleasant experience.
Good looking normal size bottle. Colour is yellow, and looking bright and medium. On the nose it is wide, complex, refined and ripe. The taste is round, ripe, and dry, and average in acidity, medium-bodied and mature. On the palate it is layered and has waxy, apricot and dried-fruit flavours. The finish is medium long. This wine is wine for food. Perfectly stored bottles are still very worthy and will last well for another 1-5 years.
