On the eye: Sparkling, crystalline pale gold with slight green highlights. Abundant effervescence, fine and regular, with fine, delicate bubbles.
On the nose: Pure, concentrated and expressive, with floral (honeysuckle, orange flower, linden), fruity (lemon, dried apricot, almond) and pastry aromas, followed by spicy notes.
On the palate : The attack is dynamic, full and powerful, with aromas of lightly toasted brioche, quince jelly and acac...

Written Notes

From a mix of 12 vineyards, 90 percent of which are Grand and Premier Cru. Five years on lees with more than 40 percent reserve wine. Avize and Chouilly in the Côte des Blancs dominate, with 30 percent from Trépail and Vertus. The remainder comes from the Côte de Sézanne. Dosage 8 grams/liter.

Another stunning non-vintage champagne. A lovely mix of aromas, jasmine, florals, and stone fruit. Finely balanced and extremely impressive length. Has the ethereal elegance common to the entire Henriot range. 93.

A nicely captured reductive edge here, this holds white peach and apple aromas fresh with dried white flowers and a very gentle nutty, cashewy thread. The palate's bright, creamy and fruity; it throws big fruit flavors upwards with crunchy acidity.

Inside Information

Champagne Henriot is ne of the oldest family-owned houses in Champagne, enjoying seven generations of uninterrupted ownership since the late 1700s. Unlike other Grande Marques the family focuses on developing strong bonds with the world of gastronomy. The unmistakable Henriot style is the expression of the exclusive use of Grands and Premiers Crus vineyards without the use of Pinot Meunier. Pinot Noir is sourced from the northern slopes of the Montagne de Reims delivering a supportive backbone and elegance, the perfect balancing support to enhance the delicate complexity of Chardonnay, which is sourced primarily from Grands Crus in the Cote des Blancs. Brut NV is aged for four years before release (three on lees and one in bottle). The house speciality of Blanc de Blancs is aged for an extra year and all the larger formats are aged for an extended period relative to their size.
