Written Notes

The first Ducru had a deep nose with noticeable oak, as well as cassis and purple fruit. Its fruit was fresh, but it was clear this was a bit brutish with its oak; otherwise, it was great. Colour is looking more evolved compare to others Saint Julien tasted blind at the same time. elegant structure but lighter compares to the 2 others. A real gap between the others 2006 tasted with liquorice and cherry notes. harmonius on the palate but discreet structure with mid long finish

Ruby. Cassis, minerals, leather and a slight floral note nose, seductive. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fruity, lovely freshness even if a bit biting texture, give it five years plus. Very long. 94
