2019 was a year to celebrate the Douro’s remarkably resilient grape varieties in an unusually dry year. Our ability to closely monitor their varying maturation cycles and adjust our picking schedule accordingly meant we were able to deliver the best expression of the different varieties.

Violet and plum aromas introduce a spicy, complex profile. The full-bodied palate combines dark fruit with medicinal and savoury nuances, complemented by sour cherry and floral spices. Food pairing: Roast duck with sour-cherry jus, wild boar with juniper, or lamb shoulder with Mediterranean herbs. The wine's savoury depth and sour-cherry notes complement game and richly flavoured meat.
