It was during the 7th Century that the monks of the Abby of Bèze created the famous closed vineyard, today known as the most prestigious Grand Crus in the municipality of Gevrey-Chambertin. The robe of the 2011 Chambertin Grand Crus Clos de Bèze from the house of Bouchard Père fils is garnet red with shades of purple and brown.The nose reveals a profound and complex bouquet, combining notes of black fruit, liquorice and slight animal hints. On the palate, this Chambertin Grand Cru is rich and generous, with refined tannins and an amazing length. Intense and beautifully fleshy, this Grand Cru is sumptuous.
