If there was one vintage that arguably could have been in another flight, it would have been the 1988 Petrus. The Hedonist joked that this was an ‘English vintage, tight ass.’ Roman observed, ‘hazelnut and almond,’ and I also found exotic qualities of cinnamon and red fruits. It was rich, tasty and had the best acidity of the first flight. Cereal flavors rounded out the palate, which lost a step in the glass in time
