The Story

Drinking Pétrus may be an unforgettable experience. We has been lucky to have the opportunity to taste most of its great vintages. That is why wine enthusiasts often come to us for advice. First, WeI advise you to choose a good vintage, an excellent one if your wallet allows. If you taste a poor vintage, you will notice how it raises above most other wines of the same vintage, but you will miss the actual point of Pétrus.

Written Notes

Petrus - 100% Merlot. 14.5% alcohol. 20 hl/ha. Harvested between the 1st and 7th of September. Liquid cashmere, velvety fruit, and tannin. Incredibly complex, sophisticated, focused, and precise. Wow, a legend in the making! 99-100p.

Blackberries, fruiot driven, layered, intense and deep, highly scented, leaps out of the glass, incredible nose. 
Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, blackberries, so smooth texture, such elegance, such finesse, such brightness, layered and nuanced, incredible balance, pH 3,63 and 14,5% alcohol. Amazing wine.

Intense purple colour with violet hue and black core. Refined nose with multi-layered fruit, elderberries, mulberries, very fine blackberries and ripe plums. Oriental spices cedarwood, on the palate well structured with chalky minerality, densely woven tannins with great class. Excellent mid-palate, liquorice pepper and mild spices, violets iris, excellent length, not ending, great mid-palate, a wonderful juicy and mouth watering g wine
