Sourced from a warm, low-yielding season, the 2006 is an opulent, velvety tour de force showing complete maturity. Saturated aromas of blackberry reduction, dark plum liqueur, licorice, and roasted espresso bean dominate the nose, seamlessly intertwined with sweet French oak vanilla, dark cocoa, and dried lavender. On the palate, it is lavishly full-bodied, offering an unctuous, tongue-coating mid-palate of black fruits and dark chocolate. Matured, fine-grained tannins and balanced acidity lead into a long, plush, and warming finish.
