Wine Description
The Story
Blend: 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Syrah
Origin: Maipo Valley, Trinidad Vineyards
Soil: Granitic and stony soils with highly permeable, with a depth of between 0.6 and 2 metres.
Winemaking: The grapes were carefully selected by hand. Then they were gently crushed in stainless steel tanks and subjected to a cold maceration at between 6°C and 8°C. The next stage was fermentation, at temperatures of between 22°C and 26°C, with two to three pump-overs every day. This meant that the texture featured smooth tannins. 80% of the wine was aged in French oak for 10 months. The remaining 20% was matured in stainless steel tanks.
Tasting notes: Ruby red with deep violet hints. This is an expressive and intense wine with ripe red and black fruit intermingled with aromas of black pepper, caramel, tobacco and chocolate. In the mouth there is good body, balanced structure and firm, ripe tannins with a delicious and persistent finish.
