The Story

Dagromis Barolo takes its name from the former La Morra estate owner Gromis family. It is an expression of two Barolo terroirs – Serralunga and La Morra. The Nebbiolo grapes from each single vineyard are fermented, macerated and aged for 12 months separately, before being blended and aged for a further 18 months in oak.

Written Notes

Pale cherry red colour. Complex and tempting nose shows lovely spiciness, tangerine, cherries, white pepper, touch of leather and smoky notes. Full-bodied, round and intense palate with tannins, ripe red fruit notes and harmonious nutty and leathery finish. Drinks well already but will evolved well for next 7-10 years. Decant for 2 hours and serve at 17-18°C with white truffle risotto. JL 94p (Nov 2022)
