La Clarté de Haut-Brion is a rare and exceptional white wine, as much due the very small scale of its production as to its composition.

Written Notes

After the reds, we sampled three whites. La Clarté de HB, rated at 92 points, was fresh and energetic. La Mission HB scored 97+ points, boasting great minerality and a wide array of aromas. Haut Brion, rated 98-99 points, exhibited power, tightness, and richness.

  • 92p

Bright yellow colour with green hue. Rich and multi-layered nose with an aroma reminiscent of grapefruit peel, lime zest, Buxus, blackcurrants spurs and hints of flintstone, slightly smoky. Discreet white blossoms in the background. On the palate well structured with wonderful tension and freshness, complex flavour quoting the nose, excellent depth and length.
