Written Notes

Deep, dark, promising young-looking colour Concentrated, fragrant, yet slightly dried out nose. Medium body and not very rich or complex on the palate. Soft tannins blend nicely. At its peak, will not get better – so do not save this one for your fiftieth birthday. Enjoy now!

The next flight began with the renowned 1968 Mouton Rothschild. Just kidding. Its nose was light with some windex, cardboard, cinnamon and light strawberry. It was clearly weaker but ok. Mr. 47 called it ‘a horrible vintage.’ It wasn’t horrible, despite being light and simpler. Ed found it ‘Burgundian with gorgeous tangerine peel.’ It was a 15 minute wine, for sure, but I enjoyed its citrus and tangerine flavors (86).

Fill on C level, cork soaked, garnet with orange rim. Light, some cigars and floral notes, then dental office, Fluor and slightly metallic, then green apples, subtle changes all the time, some red berries clinging on for their bare life. No tannins, ok acidity, no length. 75
