Château Montrose 1928-2015

2015 Château Montrose APR 16 Ruby. Spices, dark fruits, floral, red berries, floral, detailed, maybe not the most intense Montrose but a lovely nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fresh, fruity, dark berries, rounded texture, juicy, lively, smooth and precise, long. 13,4% alcohol this year. Montrose has been ecological for a few years already and starts trials on biodynamics now in 2016. 94-96

To me wine is one of the greatest and sometimes worst of the worlds greatest pleasures. When you get that one bottle, or even that one sip of a truly great wine, you're just lost. With seventeen years of experience and more than 58.000 wines tasted in total with a focus on fine wines and especially Bordeaux, but also the wines of Burgundy, Port, Madeira and German Rieslings.
