The Story

Moët & Chandon Impérial is a complete, generous and dynamic Champagne made of chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot meunier. Moët Impérial is the House’s iconic Champagne. Created in 1869, it embodies Moët & Chandon’s unique style- a style distinguished by its bright fruitiness, its seductive palate and its elegant maturity.

Created from more than 100 different wines, of which 20% to 30% are reserve wines specially selected to enhance its maturity, complexity and constancy, the assemblage reflects the diversity and complementarity of the three grapes varietals :

The body of Pinot Noir:
30 to 40%
The suppleness of Pinot Meunier:
30 to 40%
The finesse of Chardonnay:
20 to 30%
Dosage: 9 g/litre

Wine Information

The pioneering spirit has always defined our brand, in every arena from viniculture to new ways of celebrating with champagne. It all began with our founder Claude Moët’s vision of transforming a prestigious but little known regional wine into a favourite of cosmopolitans and courtiers throughout Europe. His grandson Jean-Rémy Moët set out to conquer the market and soon transformed Moët & Chandon into an international symbol of celebration, accomplishing his lifelong goal of “sharing the magic of champagne with the world.”
Innovation has been our watchword ever since, making the world’s most glamorous wine new and exciting for each generation

Creating new ways of celebrating with champagne is a hallmark of Moët & Chandon. Among our first emblematic gestures were the sabering of bottles and the christening of ships. The 20th century saw the arrival of yet more pioneering gestures that are still favourite traditions today.

Did you know, for example, that the exuberant spray of champagne after a sports victory originated at the 24 Hours of Le Mans car race in 1966 when champion Jo Siffert showered his cheering fans with a bottle of Moët? The champagne pyramid, the dazzling cascade of sparkling bubbles that lights up glamorous parties and receptions around the world? Moët created that overflowing symbol of festivity as well.

New technology combined with the best of traditional craftsmanship is helping us ensure that the legendary quality and style of our champagnes never falters. As nature is at the very heart of Moët, our latest advances in sustainable viniculture to preserve and protect the environment are among our proudest accomplishments.

Inventing delectably new ways of sharing magic with the world is one of most cherished commitments!

Throughout our long history, Moët & Chandon has pioneered trends in bottling, glasses and exclusive, personalised editions of our champagnes.

In our day, the Moët mini-flute format is now a must on the red carpets of international film festivals and Moët Imperial bottles personalised with Swarovski crystals bring a special touch to exclusive events. Our latest innovation, Moët Ice Imperial, the very first champagne especially created to be enjoyed on ice, brings our fans an all new, uniquely refreshing champagne experience.

Written Notes

A fresh and creamy version, featuring a tang of salinity, layered with pear, kiwifruit, green almond and lime blossom notes. Not a powerhouse, but an elegant crowd-pleaser

  • 88p

Bright yellow with straw yellow hue. Elegant nose opening up slowly. Fragrant fruit with slightly closed character, elegant. On the palate freshness, crisp acidity, creamy texture, very good length. The quintessence of structure.

  • 90p

This creamy Champagne is bright and citrusy, offering an expressive and well-meshed mix of ripe blackberry, pastry dough and pickled ginger flavors. Racy finish.

  • 88p

Golden yellow with glimmers of green.Crisp green apple and lemon notes give way to white blossoms and stony minerality. Toasted cashew and brioche aromas add complexity and a vanilla-rich elegance.Sumptuous pear, white peach and apple flavours are followed by refreshing bubbles that soften to reveal citrus fruit and gooseberry.

Good looking normaali size bottle, in an täydellinen condition and has by the neck level. Colour is keltainen, and looking puhdas and kevyt. On the nose it is intensiivinen and pyöreä. The taste is hedelmäinen, round, and puolikuiva, alhainen alkoholipitoisuus, with keskirunsaat tanniinit, with silkkiset tanniinit, and keskiverto hapokkuus, keskitäyteläinen and with tasapainoinen structure. On the palate it is layered and has kuivattuja hedelmiä flavours. The finish is pitkä, hyväilevä and a bit too neutraali .. This wine is hienostunut and erinomainen. I paid around 50-100€ a bottle. Perfectly stored bottles are still very worthy and will last well for another 5-10€ years and decant at least 15min before tasting. Good value for money. I do recommend.
