Tropical notes of guava and curry leaf melt away into more classical ones of zest and very ripe stone fruit. Cocoa and toasted spices complement the whole.
The wine has a bracing vinosity. Its initial richness expands and affirms itself, becoming more physical, powerful and structured. It has remarkable length in the mouth, with a touch of licorice and a backdrop of juicy, bitter blood orange.

The Story

Dom Pérignon Rosé is a tribute to Pinot Noir. To work with Pinot Noir continually requires excellence and humility. In that regard, Dom Pérignon Rosé is a paradox to the point of contradiction as it is the perfect balance of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Although it took over ten years to reach the light of day, the color of Dom Pérignon Rosé dares to express all the tension between youth and maturity, between exhibition and restraint.

Wine Information

Overall, the year was hot and dry, but it was marked by contrasts. The initial enthusiasm generated by a heat wave in August was tempered by rain and cool weather in September. In the end, drastic selection in the vineyard guaranteed a limited volume of exceptional quality, with unprecedented aromatic maturity. The harvest began on September 14.

Written Notes

Intense rosé colour. Opulent nose with aroma reminiscent of Brioche, ripe plums and hints of Morello cherry, raspberry tartlet, hints of Nougat and slightly smoky minerality in the background. On the palate multi-layered with great depth and length, fine mousseux and creamy texture, very lively and fresh character, however showing wonderfully matured flavours reminiscent of Brioche, liquorice, stone fruit and balmy spices.

Rosé 2005 is pure Pinot Noir, it gloriously expresses its lively, playful, vibrant and seductive side. The whole package here goes beyond champagne, it truly is wine in all its splendour.

The wine has a bracing vinosity. Its initial richness expands and affirms itself, becoming more physical, powerful and structured. It has remarkable length in the mouth, with a touch of licorice and a backdrop of juicy, bitter blood orange.

Pale reddish pink. Minerals, light apples, red fruits, minerals, some elegant nose, light floral note. Fresh acidity, minerals, red apples, strawberries, elegant and nuanced, refreshing, bright and transparent, light spicy note reminiscent of a Vosne, long finish. 96
